Education
The Department of Medical Education (DME) is responsible for coordinating all AFIP training by offering opportunities through Continuing Medical Education (CME) in pathology, radiology, and other medical disciplines. The primary audience is military and civilian physicians, nurses, radiologists, related sub-specialty clinicians, and other industry-related professionals domestically and internationally.
The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has awarded AFIP's continuing medical education program the status of accreditation for six (6) years. In addition, ACCME awarded five (5) commendations that further underscore the exemplary nature of our education program. Only 0.08% of the several hundreds of ACCME accredited providers nationwide receive this honor.
DME manages and provides the following programs as part of its many educational
